Terms and Conditions

Thank you for shopping with Sweets in a Bag.  Please read the following carefully.  Please note that any person(s) using and purchasing products from SweetsinaBag.co.uk is deemed to understand and accept these terms and conditions.

 

Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within 48 hours of receipt and payment clearance.  Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday with the exception of Bank Holidays.  Orders are sent via Royal Mail First Class or Courier which is tracked and a signature will be required on delivery. 

 

Can I send an order to another address?

Yes you can! When you go through the checkout you will be asked if the delivery address is the same as the billing address.  We also have a comments box where you can leave the name of the person receiving the sweets and any message you would like to have included. 

 

Overseas Orders
Overseas
 orders are dispatched via Royal Mail International Signed For which requires a signature on receipt. Orders from overseas must not exceed 1.5kg in weight and orders larger than this will be split into multiple orders and may not be received together.


Delivery times vary from 3-5 days to Europe and 5-10 days to the rest of the World.

Customs Duties
Depending on the size of your order and its destination your Government may impose customs duties and taxes on your goods. Sweets in a Bag is not liable for any costs imposed.

USA and Canada
Unfortunately, due to legislation, we are currently unable to dispatch to the USA and Canada. Recent changes in the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) import legislation means that every food manufacturer in the world is required to register with the US FDA before any of their products will be accepted as imports. Most manufacturers who supply to us are not registered with the FDA and so their products will not be accepted by the authorities.


We will continue to monitor the situation and should restrictions be lifted we will happily change our policy.

 

BFPO Addresses

We are happy and proud to despatch orders to BFPO addresses around the world.  There is a maximum weight limit of 2kg (inc packaging) for individual packages.  Should you place an order of more than 2kg, we will split the order into multiple parcels.  

 

Price

All prices shown on SweetsinaBag.co.uk are inclusive of VAT at 17.5%.  Postage costs will be shown during the checkout process and will be based on the size of your order and the delivery address.

 

Payment

You must pay for your order before it is delivered.  You can do this securely through PayPal. 

 

Availability of Products

We work with a wide range of quality suppliers to ensure a constant supply of high quality products.  Most goods are delivered directly from our stocks.  However, there may be very rare occasions when an item is out of stock.  Under such circumstances we will notify you as soon as possible.  If this happens you may cancel your order and we will refund the money.  We will provide an estimate when thegoods will be in stock or suggest an alternative.  You will also have the option of delaying the despatch of your order until it is complete.  Alternatively, we will despatch your order then send on the missing item when it arrives in stock.  Contact is via email so please ensure you provide the correct email address when ordering. 

 

All offers are available whilst stocks last.           

 

Returns Policy

Should you feel that any part of your purchase is not satisfactory Sweets in a Bag must be notified within 48 hours of receipt of purchase at the address below.  We aim to respond to any problems as soon as we can and guarantee to respond with 48 hours. 

 

Once we have responded to your message the goods must be returned within 7 days by recorded delivery.  Returned goods should be in their original condition and packaging. A copy of your invoice should also be included. Please note that if Sweets in a Bag is at fault we will refund your postage costs.

 

Once we have received the returned items they will be checked and refunds or exchanges on goods and postage will be provided where appropriate.  Sweets in a Bag cannot issue exchanges on unwanted products because of the perishable nature of the goods and to adhere to Food Standards. Refunds or Exchanges will only be offered on goods that are fault, and were clearly so at the time of despatch.

 

No additional compensation will be available on products than otherwise stated.  Sweets in a Bag are not responsible for any other costs or losses incurred after costs of goods and returned postage charges.  Sweets in a Bag will only accept products for refund or exchange that have been supplied by us and we will only refund the costs of fair and reasonable return postage and the original sale price of the goods.

Privacy

At Sweets in a Bag we take the privacy of our customers and the security of information very seriously.

 

Sweets in a Bag is hosted on a secure server.  All the personal information you enter (name, address etc) is only used to process your order and is entered through a secure link.  Depending on your browser you may see a closed padlock symbol.

 

At Sweets in a Bag we believe in protecting all the personal information of our customers.  The information you give us is for the sole use of Sweets in a Bag.  We do not share your details with any third parties.  Any individual or organisation claiming to have access to our customer information should be reported to info@sweetsinabag.co.uk.

 

If you have chosen to subscribe to our mailing list we will, from time to time, send you details of special offers, news, competitions and other bits and bobs we think you’ll want to know about.  We will not pass your email address onto any third parties.

 

On all of our email communications we will give you the opportunity to unsubscribe from our mailing list.

 

Liability

Sweets in a Bag’s entire obligation in the event of defective goods, damaged goods, failure to deliver goods, incorrect quantities or incorrect goods shipped will be to either, (a) Offer a full refund to the value of the goods or (b) Offer replacement for any goods of incorrect quantity, defective or damaged. Under no circumstances will we be liable for any consequential, direct or indirect loss arising from any such occurrence stated above. The total liability in any event shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the goods.

 

Governing Law

In purchasing goods on this site you acknowledge that the contract between Sweets in a Bag and yourself is governed by, and interpreted by, English Law and that English courts will have jurisdiction in resolving any disputes.
